Historic Savanna, Georgia

December 2, 2005

Hello again to all of you. On Wednesday we drove down to Townsend, Georgia and are staying at the McIntosh Lake Campground and RV Park. Another lake front campground with full hookups including cable tv for just $16.

Thursday came and the plan was to head into Savanna after the boys had completed their homeschool lessons. However, Cricket had received a phone call from a new customer and she had some work to do. She's actually been kinda busy lately. Now she's got three loans in the process right now. By the time she submitted her paperwork for processing, it was already lunch time. Therefore we ate lunch in the RV before heading into Savanna.

Once we arrived into Savanna, we decided upon the Trolley Tours. Just as we experienced in Charleston, it was a great way to see the sites and learn of the cities history. After the tour, we drove down to the riverfront and had dinner at a Greek restaurant. While we were there two huge freighter ships passed by going up the river. One was from London and the other from China.

Today, we're going down to Jekyll Island, GA. It's only about an hour away, so it'll be a quick drive. See ya soon.
